The new M2 Ground Pounders 1970 Chevrolet El Camino casting is here!!! Making it's debut in the 2012 New York Toy Fair promotional set. The regular version is liquid lime green with yellow to red flames. It's also sporting a blown engine, classic 5-spoke rims and red line tires. Only 492 examples of this El Camino have been produced. Now the chase version is just as cool, only it's now glossy black with gold flames, gold accents and gold chrome wheels. This one is only produced in a mere 108 pieces.

That's right M2 collectors, we made an exclusive release for AutoZone Mexico. They are the same great cars from the AutoZone 2-pack Auto-Lift that are found in the states. The cars are the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 and 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona HEMI. Each car is packaged individually on a blister card and now can be purchased separately.

New M2 Auto-Lift at AutoZone!!!

Hey Guys, Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. We want to let all the M2 collectors know about the 2nd AutoZone Auto-Lift two-pack. Some of these where let out a little early so you may have seen a few online. These are now available at your local AutoZone.

The two cars are a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 and a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona HEMI. Both of these muscle cars are painted gloss black with orange stripes and the AutoZone logos on the doors. The interiors are also orange and black. The rolling stock consist of chrome classic 5-spoke rims, Goodyear blue line tires up front with pie crust drag slicks out back. This set is the 2nd in the series with AutoZone. Remember the Christmas holiday is coming really quick and this set makes a great gift for that car nut in your life.

Hi Guys, I just wanted to show you some pre-production images of our upcoming 1:24 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Centennial race car. I love this thing and just had to share with you guys. This casting should start showing up in a week or two.

This past weekend I attended the 2nd annual Long Beach Motorama. All I can say is WOW!!! The show blew me away last year and this year was even better. I really hope and pray that this show grows into a big event for years to come. The setup is like an old indoor show from the 1960's. The wall of fame plaques with the crystal hands and tools are awesome. Check out the image below of our good pal "Crazy Painter" Tom Kelly. If you get a chance to attend this show next please do so. First up are the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air promo cars. All three versions are painted with "double flames." The primary colors are Black and Candy Blue. The cars come in production numbers of 492, 108 & 24. Please see the images below.

Next up are three 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS models with flames. Each Camaro has the cowl induction hood, long rear spoilers and large over sized wheels. Production numbers are also 492, 108 & 24 pieces. Please see the images below.

New M2 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Promo!!!

The cars are 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS in 1:64 scale. The gloss white with red stripes the regular car. While the white primer with blue stripes is the chase car version. Both have large over sized rims and tires. The white with blue stripes even has a cool retro plexiglass hood scoop. These Camaros match their other M2 promotional cars from years past.

New M2 Tow Truck Promos!!!

Hi Fellas, At M2 we love making promotional cars or trucks. The factory really doesn't like making them. From their perspective, imagine shutting down an entire assembly line and resetting the paint station, accessories, tampos and packaging for these promos. All this work and down time in order to produce 492 pieces, 108 pieces and sometimes even 24 pieces! Pretty crazy huh?

Anyways, here is one of our newest promo for Mark's Toy Box. The trucks are both 1:64 scale 1956 Ford tow trucks with a snow plow. Talk about multitasking! Finally...Rome Wasn't Built In A Day!!!

Hey Guys,

Back in November 2008 I was contacted by M2 collector Vincent Fulginiti. He owns a beautiful 1954 Mercury Monterey. It' a mild custom wearing 1955 Mercury colors Tuxedo Black and Persimmon/Bittersweet. The Mercury is also sporting 1955 upper door and quarter panel chrome side trim with black painted insert. His question to me was if we where interested in duplicating his car as close as we can. I liked his car a lot and loved the unique color combination. I told him it might take awhile since we are a new company and that the majority of our releases are 100% stock at the time.

Over the last few years we had opportunities to produce mild custom cars. But something was always spoiling things. The mild customs where either for the Christmas release, Tom Kelly pin stripes or the flamed release. Now with the introduction of the brand new Detroit-Cruiser line we where able to replicate as close as we can Vincent's 1954 Mercury. We kept the Sun Valley's green glass and decided not to paint the roof insert black and we added the single lake pipe. Below are a few images of the pre-production sample, final sample and photos of the actual car. We have a feeling that some of these '54 Mercury's are going to have the tops painted black and the lake pipes removed.

M2 & Hot August Nights Team Up For 2011!!!

Hi Guys,

At M2 we love doing promo cars and trucks. The opportunity to produce a promo for the Hot August Nights car show in Reno Nevada surfaced last year. We jumped at the chance to produce a promo car for their 25th Hot August Nights car show. As far as promos go, this one in particular was a big undertaking. We had to develop new packaging and even a poker chip. The casting is also a brand new tooling of the 1/64 scale 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. For this promo we tooled up a new custom hood and custom twin turbo engine (it just might be our best looking engine to date). The Camaro is based off of "The Mule" Camaro built by Mark Stielow. Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?

The limited edition 1970 Buick GSX was a beast. The 455 cubic inch engine made 350 horsepower and a whopping 510 lbs. of torque. This special Buick was only available in two colors, Apollo White and Saturn Yellow. The Stage1 option added 10 horsepower and some other go fast parts. Quarter mile times where 13.8 at 101 mph.

M2 Machines would like to show off it's newest Ground Pounders 1/64 casting. The 1970 Buick GSX, "Another lite-your fire car from Buick."

A few close up images of the Chevrolet Centennial Auto-Haulers!!!

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share some close up images of our upcoming Chevrolet Centennial Auto-Haulers. This release is going to be very cool. Also notice that the Corvette set has a special Corvette racing logo that will only be found on Corvette related items. The logo features the likeness of Louise Chevrolet at the wheel of a race car. The packaging is full of vintage and current Chevrolet cars and trucks.

The large trailer shows a time line of the Chevrolet history and vehicles. It starts on the drivers side with an image of Louise Chevrolet, 1912 Chevrolet Classic 6, 1935 Chevrolet Suburban, 1949 Chevrolet truck and a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. On the passenger side the cars are 1963 Chevrolet Corvette, 1974 Chevrolet Camaro, 1999 Chevrolet Silverado truck, 2012 Chevrolet Corvette and 2012 Chevrolet Volt.

I love this 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air set. The theme is an old school stock car race team. The truck, trailer and Bel Air are painted black with the matching racing stripe. The truck has white bumpers, grill and wheels to give it that old school look.

My favorite might just be the Corvette set with the custom see through trailer. The Corvette has some new pieces such as the racing side exhaust that differs from the production side pipes. The Corvette has no bumpers and has a new grill without the front bumper. The Corvette set with the gold trim and accents is the chase piece for this set.

Yesterday I was given some terrible news that Jack Davis passed away on Monday night. Now I've only known "big Jack" or "Farmer Jack" since about 2009 when I attended the NorthWestFest Convention for the first time. This show is put on by Jeremy from Collectables Corner (http://www.collectablescorner1.com) in northern Idaho.

Jack was a big time die cast collector. He not only collected M2 but other brands as well. I always looked forward to talking with Jack not only about die cast cars but real cars. I had a blast hearing about all the old cars he used to have.

When the time came for our new M2 Auto-Trucks line to come out I asked if Jack would let us use the Tom Davis Farm name for one of our new trucks. Tom Davis was his Farther that passed away a few months earlier. He said yes, so we put the name on our new 1:64 scale 1956 Ford stake bed truck. Since I knew Jack was a serious collector I also made his truck into the gold on gold Limited Edition truck.

Just last month I had received an email from Jack. He said, "It's great seeing the reactions of people to the truck!!!" We also had talked about doing a 2nd truck later in the year. I just wanted to let the M2 collectors know a little about my friend Farmer Jack and the history behind the red Tom Davis Farms 1956 Ford truck. Gods speed Farmer Jack.

We at M2 are pretty proud of the cars and trucks we produce on a regular basis. On a few occasions you work on a project and from the very beginning you just know it's going to be good, REAL GOOD. This is one of those times. Everything came together very easy on this M2 Auto-Lift exclusive for AutoZone®. The colors of the AutoZone® logo inspired the design of the cars paint scheme to pay homage of sorts to the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Pace Car. The cars in this set are the 1970 Chevrolet SS454 and the 1970 Ford Mustang BOSS 429. Both cars are painted white with orange stripes with black and orange interior. Each car wears the AutoZone® logo proudly on it's doors. The rolling stock consist of chrome Team 3 classic 5-spokes with Goodyear blue line tires in front and pie crust drag slicks out back. Also the die cast Auto-Lift is painted in black and orange and also wears the AutoZone® logo on both sides. Please look for this M2 exclusive at your nearest AutoZone® store.

Tomo from the Daze-Shop stopped by M2 last Summer. We worked out the details for these 1959 Cadillacs. The regular Caddy is candy apple red with a silver roof, chrome steel wheels and a single outlet lake pipes. This car is limited to 492 pieces. The chase car is black with black chrome bumpers, steel wheels and three outlet lake pipes. This chase car is limited to 108 pieces. Take a look at the cool artwork on the back windows. Also notice the Daze-Shop logo tampo on the clear case.

Hi Guys,

We have a few shots of another M2 promo car. This time it's the Ground Pounders 1969 Ford Mustang BOSS 429. The Mustang is done up in a drag racing theme. It features classic 5-spoke rims up front and large steel wheels mounted on drag slick tires out back. You can't miss the blower sticking out of it's hood, it makes for a rather dramatic statement.

M2 Keeps Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'...

Hey Fellas,

The new Drivers release 10 should be coming out shortly. In this release are brand new rims and tires. The rear tires are more of a pro-street tire, they have a little more side wall too them. They come in street tires with tread and also drag slicks for optimum traction. We have four new rims for these tires; Team 3 Dragmaster wheels, Team 3 Classic 5-spoke wheels, Team 3 Fuelers wheels and CenterLine Auto Drag wheels.

Check out some of the images showing the differences of the tires widths. The front tires are skinny while the rears are massive.

The last image also shows the new rear concave back rims for our new COE & LCF trucks and trailers.

Some more M2 Trucks!!!

Hi Guys,

The new M2 Auto-Trucks are really starting to take off. The response has been incredible. I wanted to show you guys a few custom versions of the new COE & LCF trucks. Normally at M2 we pretty much stick with 100% stock bodies. When researching the COE & LCF trucks I came across some new custom versions with pick up beds on the back. Now none of these trucks every left the factory with these beds, but they do look pretty darn cool.

One other deterrent from 100% stock are the chrome exhaust stacks. Again, not 100% accurate, but very cool none the less. Of course some collectors are going love them while others will absolutely hate them. So what side of the fence do you fall on? Love It? Or Hate It?

Well time is almost up for the year 2010. Personally it's been an OK year with ups and downs. To be perfectly honest I'm looking forward to 2011. One of the reasons is pictured below, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Shown is one of the 1:24 drag racing versions of the Camaro. Don't worry, we will be making 100% showroom stock models as well as 1/64 versions.

A Little Inspiration, M2 12 Days of Christmas cars on a tree!

Hi Fellas,

One of my favorite sets is the Tom Kelly 12 Days of Christmas cars we have done. The cars come with a separate gold string to hang the cars on your Christmas tree. Each car features a unique artistic pin stripe representation of the age old 12 Days of Christmas carol.

Here are some photos of my tree in our family room with the 12 Days of Christmas cars on it. Sometimes you have to open the cars up from their packaging and have some fun. Have a Merry Christmas!

Ford Mustang Racing Stripes!

Hi Fellas,

Recently at a few shows I was getting some questions and concerns about the stripes on one of our sample cars. The car in question is our upcoming 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2. Some people where questioning the stripes on the car. I told them that I had found a vintage Ford catalog which included the racing stripes as accessories. The stripes can be mounted center or offset on the Mustang. They are also made in red, white or blue. I also found a photo online of a 1965 Mustang in Poppy Red with White stripes. The car was an old Holman & Moody car that they used to test new parts on.

This may be old news to some of you, but in case you haven't seen them yet here you go. The all new 1/64 scale M2 DRIVERS 4-packs have hit the selves at your local Toys 'R Us stores. There are two version right now. The "A" box contains the 1971 Plymouth Cuda (Black), 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air (Orange & TRU decos), 1971 Dodge Charger (Blue) and 1957 Ford Fairlane (Red). Box "B" contains the 1957 Chrysler 300C (Blue), 1970 Ford Mustang (Orange & TRU decos), 1967 Chevrolet Nova (Red) and 1966 Chevrolet Corvette (Black).

Each box contains an exclusive Toys 'R Us themed car. And yes, the other cars will never be repeated exactly the same ever.

Not really, we just received samples of our new 1/24 1965 GT350 (White w/Blue stripes) and 1966 GT350 (Black w/White stripes). The 1965 also has the 45th Anniversary sticker for the GT350. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the 1966 GT350 is also an automatic transmission version. Crazy right, I don't know if you can get a 1966 GT350 automatic car anywhere else?

We are taking the beauty shots right now and getting all the information together to pass onto everyone very soon. I was just so excited I had to get these images out.

POST SEMA UPDATE...Car overload!!!

Well the M2 crew is back in sunny southern California, yeah 90 degree weather in November. This year's SEMA show was great. It did seem to us that the attendance was up from last year's show. Hopefully things will be on the upswing sometime soon. At SEMA you see everything and anything car related. As soon as you get home you just try to process everything.

I personally had a blast talking and just having fun with this years crowd. Many people came asking for a particular year and make of car. It's kind of funny that they expect us to have their exact year, make and even color done and ready to go. We have done a lot in three years and still have a ton to do.

Hi Guys,

I'm still here trying to wrap some loose ends up before I leave for the SEMA show. The SEMA show will be a lot of fun. I will be taking a ton of photos and walking a lot.

Anyways, we would like to show you a couple of new things that we have been working on. The basic information is that the NEW Auto-Haulers line will fit into our 1/64 scale lines. These trucks and trailers will be available some time next year. More information will be following shortly. Also please keep in mind that these are prototypes and changes need and are being made.

It's Friday & our email is back up!!!

Wow, what a long week. Monday our email, internet & phones where down for the first half of the day. Then on Wednesday our email & internet went down till Friday afternoon. It's amazing how much you count on email for business today. So knock on wood, hopefully everything is fine now that the tech came out.

Here are a few sneak peek shots of one of our newest 1/64 Ground Pounders castings. The 1957 Chevrolet 150 sedan. This is a painted pre-production sample and some things need to be adjusted and changed. Since we received this sample last week I just fell in love with it. I was telling everyone that it was now my favorite Ground Pounders casting. Today we received a new first shot of another 1/64 Ground Pounders casting and it maybe a close second to the Chevy.

Every now and then we get some damaged boxes with damaged cars inside. This one particular car just looked so cool and realistic I had to grab it and take some photos.

Also of note, M2 blog follower "copellorj" was the first to sign up as a follower. For being the first follower, M2 sent him over brand new 1/64 1957 Dodge & 1958 Chevrolet from Auto-Thentics 13 before they where availble in stores. Keep watching and reading as we will be giving some thing else away soon. Here's a hint, we are also on a "social network."

Finally Catching Up!

We seem to finally be catching up around here. All of us where working very hard to get ready for this weeks show in Dallas, TX. The show is an appointment only for sales, not a convention. Still it's a very important show for us.

Anyways, I thought you guys might like to see a few images of some real cars. On Sunday 9/26/10 my Dad and I attended the 2010 Long Beach Motorama (http://www.showcaseofkustoms.com/). Wow, what a show. It's the first year for the rebirth of this show. Attendance was low, made for easier picture taking for sure. It really had an old school vibe to the show. We really enjoyed it and look forward to next years show.
